 Daylight Donuts of Clear Lake is a small privately owned bakery still hand making fresh donuts and pastries twice daily using traditional methods.  The difference between our products and commercial packaged goods is like night and day.  Or should we say night and Daylight?  Our donuts have been described as so fresh they may slap you and bomb-diggity (modern slang for totally awesome).  On the other hand, commercially made packaged donuts are high in preservatives and may be days or even weeks old by the time they are sold.  There is just no comparison.
Freshness is only one factor in what makes a superb donut.  Quality of raw materials and the technique of the people making them are equally important.   Our materials come from the Daylight Donut Flour Company.  Is there a difference?  Yes, we have tried other suppliers’ ingredients.  The end result did not have that distinctively light texture and exceptional flavor we get with Daylight’s ingredients.  With over 55 years of experience, Daylight knows how to make donuts as well as anyone in the world.  Daylight also has field reps that come to our store periodically and work with our bakers to make sure that quality and tradition are upheld to company standards.  The name Daylight Donuts can be proudly found on over 900 stores in the U.S.
Please proceed to check out our menu and where our products are for sale.  (You may be pleasantly surprised to see how many locations in North Iowa offer our goods or how diverse our menu is.)  Or, shut down your computer and just stop by our bakery at 510 Hwy. 18 East in Clear Lake, IA.  Customers lucky enough to stop in between 6:00 and 8:00am will find some of the donuts, rolls and other pastries still warm along with a great cup of coffee, cocoa or cappuccino.  Juices, milk and pop are also available.  There is a drive thru window for those in hurry, and inside seating for 25 for those that are not. Coffee shop hours are 5:00 to 11:30am daily. 
We encourage you to use our online order form for 1 dozen or more pieces to be picked up at our bakery the next morning.  For Mason City and Garner customers, we may be able to deliver your order to a convenience store near you for next morning pick up.
